Planespotting at GIB

Europe’s ‘most dangerous airport’- the runway at Gibraltar extends out into the sea; is bordered to the south by the Rock, which generates difficult wind conditions; and then there’s a road across the runway to the Spanish border! However, this does mean you can get really close for some planespotting, so that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s the June 1st British Airways BA490 arriving from Heathrow; flown by G-EUYC

and this is G-MONX, the Monarch Airlines MON68 from Luton.
