Gibraltar is often considered Europe’s ‘most dangerous airport’. The runway extends out into the sea and is bordered to the south by the Rock, which generates difficult wind conditions; plus there’s a road across it to the Spanish border! However, this does mean you can get really close for some planespotting, so that’s exactly what I did.
