Gallery: British Airways Explore and Discover Day

Whilst I barely travelled for it, I felt this might be of interest to travel geeks anyway! BA held a pair of open days this summer: tickets for one being offered to selected members of the Executive Club; and the other for employees by random ballot. I was lucky enough to win a place – in fact, three! So on a remarkably sunny summer day it was over to the engineering blocks to check out some of our birds. I’d got up close with an A380 and 747 when I joined, but this was my first look at Concorde, and almost everyone’s first encounter with an A350 (which will be joining the BA fleet further down the line).
