Collating material for this blog, I’ve realised that I often check out zoos and aquariums on my travels. Toronto’s is a fair distance from the centre of the city, with a half-hour drive taking potentially three times as long by public transport (as I did). Still, it’s a lot easier – and safer – than seeking out the various residents in their natural habitats, particularly for a creature as elusive as the snow leopard. Whilst I’m fond of big cats in general – and Toronto Zoo features lions, cheetahs and jaguars – these were easily my favourite. That said, I challenge anyone to look at these shots without yawning…
